Alltite’s hydraulic stud tensioning program is our fastest growing service. With its leak-free results and reduced assembly time, the potential of tensioning services for all critical joints is winning over more and more companies. Tensioning has emerged as an answer to three fundamental market shortcomings:
1.) Lack of reasonably-priced tensioning equipment.
2.) Limited of contractor knowledge and technique.
3.) Absence of specific service awareness from plant engineering staff.
Alltite has addressed all three issues by maintaining one of the largest fleets of tensioners in the U.S. and including safe stud tensioner operation as a major component of our training program.
Alltite prepares written joint assembly procedures that comply either with the elements of ASME PCC-1-2010 or with procedures prepared by the customer. Alltite seeks approval from the client’s inspector or designated agent for all deviations from our agreed-upon procedures. Alltite provides all tools needed for bolt-up procedures, such as hydraulic torque and tensioning equipment. Alltite provides and supervises personnel in performing final assembly of flanged joints. Alltite will monitor and advise owner’s maintenance personnel during joint assembly. Alltite can provide and supervise bolt elongation, or stretch control, if requested. Alltite will provide a report covering each joint assembled, including the information listed in Paragraph 14 of ASME PCC-1-2010.
When your bolting service is completed, Alltite will provide you with a binder and a CD/DVD containing the most detailed record keeping package in the industry, including written overview of project plan, procedures executed, etc
